Objective
Players have a simple goal: to enhance the value of their projects by strategically planning and executing tasks. Yet the challenges along the way (both expected and unforeseen) make goal attainment a little trickier than it sounds.
Challenges
Throughout the game, players must deal with constraints, manage risks, and work with strict budgets and resources. They quickly find themselves in a delicate balancing act, focusing on small details while eyeing big-picture objectives.
Skills Development
The game fosters the development of new perspectives, enhances decision-making skills, and encourages creative thinking. As they learn to collaborate effectively, players must balance their healthy competitive appetite with the immediate benefits of cooperation.
Run Your Own Workshops
Who can play?
Experienced and non-experienced project managers; project team members; academic students; anyone involved in any kind of project, in any way.
Number of players
4-7 players per board game. Multiple games can be played simultaneously, including up to 28 players in a workshop.
Workshop duration and format
3-4 hours per session. Sessions are guided and include a game round and post-game discussion. Multiple sessions are highly recommended.
Setting
A room with one table per game board, seating 4-7 players per table; a projector; a board for instructions and concluding discussion; notepads and pens for every player.
Lead
The workshop can either be conducted by a PMzone expert, or an experienced project manager or PMO who has self-trained using the kit.
Customization
Before the workshop, customized playing sheets can be created based on projects relevant to the organization.
